Self-Catering Cottages in the Shetland Islands

Gord Self Catering comprises of two cottages set on a working farm in the small village of Cunningsburgh, in the south mainland of the Shetland Islands.

Each cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with bunkbeds. These cottages offer a comfortable stay whether you are coming to Shetland on holiday or for business.

Why Cunningsburgh?

Cunningsburgh offers an ideal base for holidaymakers and those on business commuting to Lerwick or the surrounding area.   The village has a population of around 800 people, and is well served by a general store, which offers cashback facility and a selection of groceries.   There are two well-known knitwear shops in Cunninsburgh, both with an excellent reputation throughout Shetland and beyond. 

Location 

Lerwick, Shetland's main town, is just 10 miles away.  Here you can find a great selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, postoffice and banks.  There is a good bus service running between Cunningsburgh and Lerwick.

We are also perfectly located for people wishing to explore Shetland's south mainland, which offers pristine sandy beaches, spectacular seabird colonies at Sumburgh Head, and a wide selection of historical and archaeological treasures.
