Directions To The Cottages

Gord Self Catering's cottages are located in Cunningsburgh, situated in the south mainland of Shetland. This location is very accessible, only 15 miles from Sumburgh Airport and 10 miles from the ferry terminal in Lerwick.  A regular bus service  to most parts of Shetland makes this an ideal base for touring the islands.

Cunningsburgh is situated on the main A970 road which you will take from either Lerwick or Sumburgh depending whether you arrive by boat or plane. The village of Cunningsburgh is marked with signs at either end.

Drive through Cunningsburgh until you see the local shop and petrol pumps (North Bridge Stores). Opposite the shop is a side road, signposted ‘Gord’. Turn off here and follow this road past a number of houses on your left side and you will see down to your right two small red-roofed cottages. Our own private road leads to them and there is a sign at the top directing you.
